  Heard from Killbuck (who was there last weekend) is firmer than usual, and the center lake is already gone. Don't know if I'd land on it without doing a close check for dark patches first, and be really careful when you do set down, but it sounds a lot better than this time last year!

  As of 5/31, the playa was dry except for a small area to the southwest of the Black Rock.
  The lake is gone, but there is a dark moist area still visible.
  But then maybe Carlee already knows that.
