Burningman has a new and important official project in the works... and we need the help of the flying community!

Burningman is working with Google to create an powerful interactive 3d map of BRC. This will contain the information for the "What, where, when", theme camp maps, 3d models of the Man and large artworks and will even have modules of drag and drop camp architecture that can be used to space plan your own camp.

We will need a high resolution survey done of BRC. This will form the base map of the project and must be a large, stitched together file taken straight down. We are working on super positioning software the will allow super resolution limited only by the source file (thats you!) This may be seen by potentially millions of users.

I know that there are technical problems in doing such a survey, but I feel sure that one of you must be up for the challenge. After all, if David Best can build a temple out of scrap wood then I am sure that you guys can figure out how to take a set of photos of the city:)
