me and my art project, heating iron at dusk. probably sunday, as the lazyboys would be comming from the gerlach dump and land in frount of the stove on monday. each evening when the shadow of the granite mountains touched the foot of mt. trego, i took that as my cue to light the franklin stoves, to herold and heat the night. the stoves repose in gerlach the rest of the year, having been plucked from craigslist free page, and humped to there playa/side home. i can almost smell the wood. i can still see the mega splinter that escaped fate as fuel, becoming deep penatrating thumb moop which is still in exodus from my thumb.
